Dr. Paul M. Tesser

After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Tesser attended The State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he received his Ph.D degree in 1990 and M.D. degree in 1991.

Dr. Tesser is the proud recipient of the Sigma Xi Research Award and the NIH Graduate Research Award. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Highly regarded by peers and patients alike, Dr. Tesser is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, St. Louis Ophthalmological Society and the Missouri Society of Physician Surgeons.

When not practicing opthalmology, Dr. Tesser enjoys cycling.

Jeremy A. Beatty, O.D., F.A.A.O.

A 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri St. Louis, Dr. Beatty has been with our practice since 2012 and spent 8 years prior specializing in geriatric eye care and disease.

Dr. Beatty is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a certification earned by less than 10% of optometrists. This distinction is awarded to optometrist based on their research and complex case studies they have treated. He is member in good standing of the St. Louis Optometric Society and the Glaucoma and Anterior Segment sections of the American Academy of Optometry. He is also involved in the Aging and Vision and Neuro-ophthalmic disorders special interest groups. He is the proud recipient of the St. Louis University Research Award and the National Eye Institute AAO Grant. A former Adjunct Clinical Professor University of Missouri College of Optometry, Dr. Beatty has also written for numerous publications and lectured in areas of molecular and genetic control of photoreceptor proteins and binocular vision as well as aging and vision.
